I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I graduated Bergen County Academies as a part of the Academy of Advancement of Science and Technology. I am currently a junior majoring in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology at Emory University. In my free time, I dance in a college organization, work as a researcher and serve as the philanthropy chairwoman for Gamma Phi Beta.

I began tutoring in high school through NHS. I have spent my past several summers working as a TA for classes taught at my high school and have also served as a TA for a research class at my university. I spent my past semester abroad at University of Melbourne where I tutored ESL students as a part of my course, Understanding Knowing and Learning.

I try to apply what I've learned in my coursework to my students and aim to keep my tutoring sessions interactive. I adjust my tutoring to fit the needs of the student and try to apply the information to what they are most comfortable with or real life situations which they are interested in.
