Certified Tutor
I am someone who has always loved helping people learn. Watching another person undergo the "AHA" moment is one of the best experiences, I believe, someone can have.
I have taught briefly at the high school level and assisted at the graduate level, and I have found that I am skilled at adjusting and catering my teaching abilities to students with different past experiences that require different ways of learning. I am currently a practicing biostatistician and a PhD student in biostatistics at the University of Massachusetts, at Amherst.
I am excited about the opportunity to help others learn.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Every student has different academic and life experiences that have contributed to their learning process. It's important to acknowledge this and be sympathetic to these experiences in order to effectively teach.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Learn a little about them. What they like to do for hobbies. What kind of education they have had. Their family.
