What is your teaching philosophy?
Make sure the student understands the basics and foundations of any topics, first and foremost. Then, build on those foundations.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Give them a brief insight into my background, and then let them give a brief background about themselves and what they are looking for.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Teach study habits. Teach them to take notes. Teach them to ask questions. Teach them to look at various other sources to get an understanding of certain concepts.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
I do this by encouraging them to keep at it, and by asking them to set goals, and then rewarding themselves for those goals.
