I am a young working professional in New York City at J. P. Morgan Chase. I enjoy working with kids and currently mentor interns and younger analysts. I enjoy teaching and am in the process of applying to graduate school to get my MBA.
I love working with kids. I like to make the work interesting and try to create real life problems for the students so they can relate to the material. Math has always been my strongest subject in school. I was lucky enough to study abroad in Spain for a semester, and I am fluent in Spanish.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Get to know the student and understand what the current material and understanding is.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Allowing the student to figure out the answer and guide them along the way. Once the student feels confident in their ability to solve, they will know how to retain these skills and do better in the long run.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
I love to tell stories and make the problems as real life and close to their day to day life as possible.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I would try to break down the problem or question. Sometimes, it helps to take a step back and think of the pieces before putting the whole picture together.
