Certified Tutor
I enjoy tutoring students of all ages, especially in literature, essay-writing, and study skills. I'm a friendly, approachable, and caring person, and I love helping other people learn to do something new. I was an English major in college, and while working on my degree I tutored fellow undergrads as well as adults with special needs from the local community. This year I enjoyed volunteering with Americorps VISTA and teaching art and creative writing classes at Busch Middle School. Additionally, I'm a part-time nanny, and on weekends I enjoy playing and teaching the flute (which I also studied in college). I hope to become an English professor someday, and to this end, I'm starting a PhD program in English Literature in August 2015. I'm currently based in St. Louis, but will be moving to Charlottesville, Virginia in July for school. In my free time I like to go bike riding and exploring in St. Louis. Hope to hear from you soon!
