Michael: London tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of Boston University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, as well as the University of Michigan, where I received a Masters of Science and a Doctorate in Geological Sciences and Paleontology. My tutoring experience is broad as I have tutored students from third grade to graduate school. Formally, I have taught Anatomy to medical and dental graduate students, as well as earth and environmental science to undergraduates. I love teaching all things science - especially fields relating to the outdoors and natural history. In my teaching I aim to inspire students to learn more and care about the natural work, and to always ask why things are they way they are, and how they came to be. My approach to education is to work with each student as an individual, recognizing his or her strengths and areas that are in need of improvement. I also aim for the student to have a deep, intuitive knowledge of a subject, rather than memorization of an assortment of facts. As for hobbies, I am an outdoorsy person and love camping, hiking, running, and biking around the city. I also love exploring the many museums the city has to offer.
