In my experience teaching at the elementary level as a classroom teacher, I have had to spend a lot of time thinking about how to differentiate for the varying needs of my students. I have been fortunate enough to have worked with all types of students special education, ELLs, socio-emotional issues, students with large gaps in education, and more. Working with students one on one makes it easier to isolate and target for interventions and specially designed curriculum needs. I am looking forward to figuring out the best strategies, plans, and design to help students succeed with the tools they need to build a great educational future!
Prior to working as an elementary education teacher, I worked as a nanny and a teacher at a pre-k / preschool. I am a nurturing individual who values children and all the curiosity and joy they see and bring to the world.
When I'm not teaching I like to be learning new things and keeping my mind sharp. I love to cook, play guitar, see live music, and be an active member of the city and community. Doing any of those aforementioned activities outside is even better! Any questions about me or my background please ask and I look forward to working with you.
