I am a recent graduate student from the University of Washington, in Seattle. I graduated with a BS in General Biology and took my academics very seriously, which allowed me to finish the university with a 3.90 cumulative GPA. I have been living here in America for about 12 years, and I was originally born in Moscow, Russia. Because of the extensive time I have spent in both countries and my daily practice of both languages, I am able to speak Russian and English fluently.

During my time at UW, one of the most memorable and challenging experiences was the time I was involved in the field of Organic Chemistry. It began with simply taking the required courses, but then quickly grew into something bigger. Organic Chemistry, and the various skills needed to master the subject, immediately appealed to me, and I wanted to take that curiosity further. After I finished the series with a 3.9 for the first quarter and a 4.0 for both the second and third quarters, I then began tutoring the subject and shortly after became an Organic Chemistry TA. It is during this moment that I realized how much I absolutely love teaching. The aspect of explaining something so complex and having someone else understand it (and better yet, be able to correctly represent what you have shown) is, perhaps, the greatest reward from the profession. I began tutoring multiple students and throughout a period of two years have helped many receive extremely high grades in the course.

Since I am a recent graduate, the material is still completely fresh in my mind, and I know many tricks and test styles that are presented currently. I am also planning to apply to a graduate school and so realize how important grades may be to hard working students as I have went through this process myself and can sympathize with how difficult it can be. Therefore, I am absolutely positive that I would be able to help you, and I would be more than happy to do so. No matter what area of Organic Chemistry you are struggling with, I will do my best to help you understand it and succeed with the course.
