The student and I also discussed plans for future sessions, including practice with writing descriptive language and vocabulary development.

We spent our time working on homework from school, including spelling words incorporating synonyms and antonyms, and words that have the ending sound "-tion". We also worked on present-, past-, and future-tense verbs. We did a quick review of our multiplication facts, and the student is starting to master her facts of 8's and 9's.

Today the student and I focused on the math section of the SAT; She is improving! She mostly needs help figuring out how to do the problems as once she knows how to do the problem, she is fine with the math part. She did much better on the second math set, and I expect to see more improvement Saturday!
