If you're preparing to take the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test, you can get help studying by signing up for a Varsity Tutors AFOQT prep course. The course gives you one-on-one instruction during each AFOQT class. This allows you to get individualized instruction based on your particular needs and goals.
Through our customized AFOQT prep courses, you have the opportunity to make more efficient use of your study time. That's because you have one tutor dedicated solely to helping you prepare to do your best on the test. Whether your purpose for taking the test is the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Officer Training School, or other officer commissioning programs, you can expect full coverage of the material during your AFOQT prep classes.
The Varsity Tutors AFOQT courses can also provide full support if you're working towards qualifying as an air battle manager (ABM), combat systems officer (CSO), or pilot, and even if you're preparing for the AFOQT as part of the Pilot Candidate Selection Method score. No matter what your ultimate goal is, Varsity Tutors can connect you with a personalized AFOQT course to aid you as you work to reach it.
With proper preparation with the help of your AFOQT classes, the actual test questions shouldn't prove extremely hard. However, it is a demanding test that separates your score into important areas that you need to stand out:
- Pilot
- CSO
- ABM
- Academic Aptitude
- Verbal
- Quantitative
- Situational Judgment
You're allowed five hours to complete the entire test, including one short break following the first four sections. That's why, in addition to helping you brush up on all content areas, your AFOQT course instructor can do exercises with you to build up your stamina. Becoming familiar with such a rigorous testing schedule could help you make it through on test day with more confidence and less anxiety.
There are precise time limits to each section, so one thing your instructor may have you do during an AFOQT class is to take a timed practice section. The great thing about working with just the two of you together is, if your timing is great, you don't need to continue to work on it. On the other hand, if you're doing great with content but need to get the right timing down, you and your tutor can spend as many study sessions as you need practicing until you reach the required speed.
Of course, you'll also need to know what to expect in each section. To start, the first four sections assess your basic math and verbal skills. Other sections focus on understanding printed material, leadership skills, and reasoning abilities. There are sections devoted to testing your practical skills, and a basic personality test.
If you're ready to get started preparing for your exam right away, contact Varsity Tutors. We look forward to answering your questions about how our AFOQT prep class can help you as you work towards your future. We can even get you signed up today.
