I am a current undergraduate student at Duke University seeking a major in neuroscience and a possible minor in literature or chemistry. I have been tutoring higher level courses since the beginning of high school, and although I tutor in a variety of subjects, I specialize in writing, English, and essay editing (especially IB Extended Essays or college essays). I also help students with standardized testing, particularly in the SAT Reading portion of the exam. My passion for tutoring comes from my love of learning and helping others learn, and in my free time I enjoy painting, poetry, and fashion design.

I am currently a Harvard student majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Applied Mathematics. I graduated Class Valedictorian in high school and was named National Merit Finalist. I took 16 AP classes in high school, including AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Computer Science A, AP Physics C : Mechanics and AP Physics 1, with a score of 5 in all of the tests. I scored a 1570/1600 in my SAT and 800 in the SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test and 790 in the SAT Physics Subject Test.

I am a rising senior at Duke University who is Pre Med and majoring in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. I was born and raised in Miami FL and went to public school until college (Sunset Elementary, GW Carver Middle and Coral Reef Senior High for those from Miami). I decided to start tutoring because I would not be on this path had I not had good teachers supporting me along the way. For that reason I want to be able to help others achieve their goals without academics being a huge hurdle.

I am Pre-Med but majored in Romance Languages and Literatures. I was born in Colombia and speak Spanish at home. I studied abroad in France junior year of high school and in Chile junior year of college, and my experience abroad really strengthened my passion for languages and other cultures.

I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all methodeach student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to match their individual pace, goals, and learning style. I focus on helping students truly understand the why behind each concept, not just memorize formulas or shortcuts. Together, we work step-by-step through problems, discussing reasoning, strategy, and underlying principles until everything clicks. My goal is to build lasting confidence and clarity. Whether a student is catching up, aiming to excel, or just trying to feel more comfortable with the material, I create a supportive environment where they can ask questions freely, think critically, and stay engaged. I also believe in strong communicationkeeping parents informed and helping students take ownership of their learning. Above all, I want my students to leave each session feeling capable, confident, and genuinely connected to what they're learning.

I'm an undergraduate at Princeton University working toward a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, with the Sustainable Energy Certificate.

I am an Environmental Biology major and Writing minor. Using my two interests, I find it easiest to help students learn complicated topics by being able to explain them simply and in your own words. I find that this way of learning is the best way to gain a full understanding. Difficult problems often have multiple ways of solving them. Figuring out the best way for each student to solve a problem can make anyone successful. In the near future I plan on attending medical school, and I look forward to helping other students be able to succeed in subjects that I feel passionate about.

I am currently a M. Eng. mechanical engineering graduate student at the University of California Berkeley. I completed my undergraduate degree the University of Illinois at Chicago, majoring in bioengineering. I have been tutoring other students since high school and also have experience teaching engineering in a classroom setting. I especially enjoy teaching subjects that have a stigma for being difficult or unattainable and strive to change that perception. My strengths are math, science and standardized test preparation.

I am a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I received my Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a focus in Cultural Anthropology and Minor in History. Prior to attending UCLA, I received an Associate of Arts in Communications Studies from Skyline College in San Bruno, California. In June 2018, after graduation from UCLA, I moved to Miami, Florida where I volunteered with the Americorps VISTA program, serving as the PeaceJam Coordinator at Miami Dade College. After my year of service, I stayed in Miami where I became a Middle School Language Arts teacher with Miami Dade County Public Schools. While I am an English teacher, and tutor a wide range of subjects, I am most passionate about History, Sociology, and of course Cultural Anthropology. However, I love teaching Language Arts as I believe literacy and teaching students to express themselves through written communication is imperative to success in the competitive academic and professional context they are entering. One responsibility I was given this year is helping my middle school students at Horace Mann Middle School prepare for the Florida State Assessment (FSA). In my experience helping struggling students prepare for this exam, we always seem to have the most fun dissecting prompts and excerpts while prepping for the reading and writing portions of the FSA. I am a firm proponent of education, especially in the humanities and social sciences believing these to be necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading novels, historical texts, or anything that pertains to interesting aspects of human culture. For fun, I enjoy traveling (both domestic and international), exploring Miami, and enjoying a nice cup of coffee.

I am a graduate of Rice University (B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, History) and Emory University (MPH). Through my undergraduate and graduate studies, I have tutored students in various subjects in one-on-one and group tutoring sessions. I am a 22-year-old medical student. In college, I triple majored in Theoretical Mathematics, Computer Science, and Chemistry.
