I have a firm belief that any student, regardless of background, can be successful in any area of life if he, she, or they are given the right tools and sufficient support to reach that point. Due to this, I try to challenge students to think outside the box to come to an answer, and I tend to not just give students the answer to the question they ask. Instead, I see what they think the possible answer is so that I can better understand their train of thought and what they fully comprehend at that moment. This aids me in developing adequate tutoring methods that best fit the students' needs. This includes explaining concepts that may seem tricky, going through practice problems, and finding comparisons to the students' own life that may aid in remembering what to do in certain situations. In accordance with that, I have found that simply giving a student an answer to a question does not aid in their learning, which can be detrimental when a test rolls around. I have found students who have been given the skills and support to figure out a difficult problem or concept by themselves find greater satisfaction in their schoolwork. That satisfaction also appears to reduce stress related to academics, as the students learn that they truly are capable of doing things they may have never thought possible.Currently I am a doctoral student at Antioch University New England studying clinical psychology. In the past I have attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where I obtained a master's degree in forensic psychology, and Michigan Technological University where I obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in law and society.

I believe every student can achieve their goals either in academics of life with assistance and perseverance. The student needs a guiding hand not someone to give them the answers.

I recently graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I have always had a passion for working with kids of all ages, and I am happy to have reached the point in my professional development in which I have the opportunity to help students achieve academic success and strive to reach their full potential. I believe in using cognitive modeling to help students gain a conceptual understanding of content by guiding them through the thought process and gradually releasing responsibility. I work to help students gain a better understanding of material by engaging students by using visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic learning techniques. I can work with students in grades K-8 to improve: reading, writing, math, phonics, history, science, and study skills. I find guiding students to success to be a truly rewarding experience, and I believe I can help improve students understanding of a variety of skills necessary for academic success.

I have a passion for teaching. I have spent the last sixteen years teaching students of all age groups, including K- 12, college, and graduate students. I work well with students because I have the ability to make them feel at ease. In addition, I help students break down problems into simple components, which enables the student to understand how to go about solving any problem.

I have loved math for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories is when I understood the concept of multiplication by studying a six-pack of soda in a supermarket. I graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in economics and a minor in mathematics in 2021. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in economics at Rutgers University with an intended focus in econometrics. I have an interest in applied statistics, financial econometrics, time series econometrics, economic forecasting, and machine learning. This summer I will be a lecturer for a graduate level course in statistics and econometrics at Princeton University's School of Public and International Affairs. I have been in mentorship and tutoring positions since 2015 and have previously worked as a private math tutor, grader, and martial arts instructor. Two fundamental principles in my teaching are maintaining humility and relatability with students and striving to meet my students' needs.

I just graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rowan University with a B.S. in Mathematics, minor in Computer Science, and a concentration in Applied Math. At Rowan I was president of our math team and volunteer tutored three hours each week while also tutoring high school students on the side. In the fall I will be attending Rutgers University in pursuit of a PhD in Applied Math. I have also done math research for the last two years which resulted in one published paper (with two more on the way), talks, conferences, and an REU at The Institute for Computational and Experimental Mathematics at Brown University last summer. What I am trying to say is that I love math. I love doing it, talking about it, and teaching others about it.

I am an Ivy League educated native speaker and I have been teaching Spanish at the college level for over eight years. I have also taught Spanish for business for small groups of professionals and tutored children. I concentrate on developing fluency, not in grammar. Grammar is a tool, and not the end, when learning a language. All elements of grammar a students need to succeed at school will be covered, but we will take it a step further. You will not only understand how the subjunctive works, but you will also learn how to use it. Lessons will always be tailored to the student's needs and goals. You and I, we will work together to get you where you need to be.Hasta pronto!

I graduated in 2014 from Manhattan College with a B.S in Chemical Engineering, and I currently work as a Process Engineer. I have 5 years experience tutoring mathematics and chemistry courses at all levels, and I recently became a certified tutor by the National Tutoring Association. I enjoy tutoring because of the individualized learning atmosphere, and I take pride in my ability to determine what is challenging an individual, and how to figure out an unique solution that will help that particular student. I am available to tutor during the week in the evening, as well as any time on weekends. During my free time, I enjoy playing and watching sports like basketball, football, and tennis. I also enjoy watching movies, listening to music, and cooking.
