I am an engineering student at Princeton University. I have taken and tutored many AP subjects especially in the sciences and math. I have experience tutoring students of all ages in a variety of topics including test prep (ACT, AP Exams, etc.) and general science/math course tutoring. My focus is on helping students gain a critical understanding of the subjects at hand so they can apply that knowledge to solving a variety of problems. Hobbies: reading, music, writing, art, books

I am passionate about creating individualized lesson plans to address a tutee's needs, so that the student can thrive. I have a long list of resources that can provide alternative ways to learn, whether that's through well-written textbooks, videos, or interactive virtual tools. I am patient and encourage questions, and will work with a student step-by-step until they understand it well enough to answer it on their own.

I'm a Sophomore enrolled in TCNJ's 7 Year Medical Program. I have prior experience in tutoring from helping previous clients within SAT Math. I am also available to tutor in SAT Prep and writing. I am very passionate about helping students of all backgrounds realize their dreams and become more passionate and confident about their academics. I am passionate about education, learning, teaching, and specifically literatures and languages. I have experience as an ESL teacher for young children and teens, as well as experience working as a Writing Consultant at my undergraduate institution. I also spent all four years of my undergraduate career volunteering as an SAT tutor for local high schoolers. Beyond this, I have experience both as a private and public Spanish tutor. I love to help students reach their educational and personal goals in any way that I can.

I'm Czarina Alfonso, a junior at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. In high school, I was a honors student with membership in the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society and Math Honor Society. I was also a member of my school's Diversity Council and president of the medical club. Since I'm currently a chemistry major/premed student, I have lots of experience with STEM related courses (AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Calculus, AP Statistics). I've also taken both AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature. In addition to my AP course load in high school, I also studied for multiple SAT subject tests (Bio 790, Math 2 770, Chem 770) and the SAT (770M, 770ERW). Outside of academics, I did lots of volunteer work (founded nonprofit called Give It a Shot that raises money to provide pneumonia vaccines to daycare aged children in the Philippines, worked at local hospital, peer tutored at school) and played a sport (fencing) at a national level. I am a history teacher who had a long career in banking before returning to teaching. My career gave me the opportunity to travel extensively while living abroad (13 years in London). Through this I was able to learn about other cultures and the connections that run through our Modern World.

I'm an academic in the research fields of mathematics and computer science. I'm a strong believer in the benefits of well-guided mentorship in learning a new topic and have a long history of effective tutoring.
