I received my degree from Grand Canyon University in April 2025, which means I understand how nursing school and the NCLEX are today. In school, I was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, as well as Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. I passed my NCLEX in 85 questions and now work in a mixed specialty ICU, where I take care of medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiovascular patients. I am currently a graduate student at NYU pursuing my Master's degree in Psychology. Before moving to New York, I completed my undergraduate degree at Stevenson University in Baltimore. During this time, I worked as a peer tutor for three and a half years, covering subjects such as math, writing skills, and psychology. While at Stevenson I also helped to pilot a program that worked with at risk students to strengthen their study skills and motivation. Hobbies: books, music, art, reading, writing

I am a fan of the "Pomodoro Technique," which uses a timer to split each half hour of the session into a 25 minute work period followed by a 5 minute break. The promise of a short respite helps students power through distractions, and the break helps ward off frustration. Hobbies: art, reading, writing, books, music

I am currently in the process of applying to Law School. I have tutored middle school and high school students in subjects ranging from 5th grade reading to geometry to the SAT. While I am happy and able to tutor a number of subjects, I am most passionate about Test Prep because these scores are very important to students, and I enjoy helping them to conquer the test and succeed. My teaching philosophy can be described as a coaching style in which, like athletics, I believe learning the subject matter, good techniques, and constant practice are the best ways to achieving better scores.

I am a rising sophomore at Duke University. My dream is to become a doctor someday, so I am currently on the pre-med track and taking several chemistry and biology courses. Although my current focus is in science, I have a passion for history and culture. This past summer I participated in a study abroad program in Costa Rica, where I had the privilege of meeting and speaking with people from several different backgrounds, such as an indigenous tribe and the "ancianos" from a senior living home. Because this invaluable experience, I am continuing my studies in Spanish language and culture. Because I graduated high school only a year ago, the subjects that I was taught are still fresh in my mind, especially AP courses. I am very familiar with the AP curriculum, as I have taken 10 AP classes over the course of high school, and spent a fair amount of time preparing and learning strategies for taking the tests. I enjoy learning and teaching a broad range of subjects, but I have the most experience tutoring in Algebra, Spanish, and History. My primary concern is to foster a positive environment for the student, so they feel confident in asking me questions and comfortable making mistakes. In my free time, I play badminton, read fiction, serve the community, and go on the occasional hunt for Pokmon. Hobbies: art, movies, books, reading, writing, music

I am a PhD student in Classics (Ancient Greek and Roman studies) at the University of Washington. I have been tutoring Latin since 2015 and was a 5th and 6th grade Latin teacher for Basis.Ed from 2016-2018. I love working one-on-one with students of all ages to improve Latin skills!

I am a fourth-year medical student at a U.S. MD program with plans to pursue a career in cardiology. I am passionate about working with learners and helping them reach their academic goals. As a dedicated tutor with a strong foundation in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, I have a passion for teaching complex subjects like Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics. Although my formal tutoring experience is limited, I have actively helped peers understand challenging material throughout my academic journey. My approach centers on identifying students' specific areas of confusion and building from there, fostering a supportive environment where they can thrive.
