Hi! My name is Lindsey Walters (previously Lindsey Di Conti). I am an ICU nurse passionate about educating the next generation of nurses in a way that is supportive, effective, and inclusive. I received my degree from Grand Canyon University in April 2025, which means I understand how nursing school and the NCLEX are today. In school, I was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, as well as Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. I passed my NCLEX in 85 questions and now work in a mixed specialty ICU, where I take care of medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiovascular patients. I am a graduate of Harvard University. I received a dual Bachelor of Arts in Astrophysics and Earth & Planetary Science. After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked full-time as a post-baccalaureate researcher at Columbia University's Astrophysics Laboratory in New York City. Currently, I'm working toward a PhD in Exploration Systems Design at Arizona State University. I first starting tutoring in high school and have continued for nearly a decade since. I have tutored many students across all levels of mathematics from the elementary to the undergraduate level. Additionally, I have tutored several students in astronomy at the undergraduate level. Calculus is my favorite topic to tutor, as I find the concepts to be incredibly fun to both learn and teach. In addition to tutoring, I also worked as a multivariable calculus teaching assistant for the Harvard Mathematics Department. I firmly believe that anyone can learn math. There's no such things as a "math person." It's just a matter of finding the right teacher. Outside of my academic pursuits, I also enjoy flying single-engine airplanes, writing screenplays, playing a relaxing game of golf, and training in martial arts.

I am a fan of the "Pomodoro Technique," which uses a timer to split each half hour of the session into a 25 minute work period followed by a 5 minute break. The promise of a short respite helps students power through distractions, and the break helps ward off frustration. Hobbies: art, reading, writing, books, music

I am a senior at ASU, majoring in Applied Biological Sciences with a concentration in Secondary Education in Biology. After I graduate in December, I hope to work as a high school biology teacher. My passion for biology developed in high school and I want to pass that love on to today's high school students.

I am a National Board Certified Teacher, an achievement considered the "black belt of teaching" I have 30 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have taught Government and Economic classes ranging from AP to ELL level; Special Education Math and Language Arts; Algebra I and II; Literature; Written Expression; Language Arts; and interesting electives such as Psychology and Robotics! I have extensive experience teaching SAT prep and assessing SAT exams. My experiences in both rural areas metropolitan areas make me a well-rounded teacher. I have considerable experience in on-line tutoring and teaching. As an educator, I believe that every student has a unique learning style and that it is my responsibility to tap that style and help create a path to success. I look forward to adding new students to my teaching world.

I am a fourth-year medical student at a U.S. MD program with plans to pursue a career in cardiology. I am passionate about working with learners and helping them reach their academic goals. My strengths include standardized test preparation for the ACT, MCAT, and USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, as well as core subjects such as medicine, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, psychology, etc. In addition, I have extensive experience helping students craft compelling essays for college and medical school applications. As a dedicated tutor with a strong foundation in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, I have a passion for teaching complex subjects like Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics. Although my formal tutoring experience is limited, I have actively helped peers understand challenging material throughout my academic journey. My approach centers on identifying students' specific areas of confusion and building from there, fostering a supportive environment where they can thrive. I believe that teaching is most effective when students engage with the material actively, and I strive to make learning enjoyable and approachable. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing basketball, soccer, chess, and participating in engineering projects, which further enhances my problem-solving skills. Nevertheless, I have taught and mentored graduate students at Harvard and talented undergrads in a variety of disciplines and welcome helping with theses. In addition to teaching, I have a background in publishing and editing, and have been a writer since childhood. Language creates reality, and interpreting and using it well opens many doors.
