I am a graduate of Harvard University. I received a dual Bachelor of Arts in Astrophysics and Earth & Planetary Science. After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked full-time as a post-baccalaureate researcher at Columbia University's Astrophysics Laboratory in New York City. Currently, I'm working toward a PhD in Exploration Systems Design at Arizona State University. I first starting tutoring in high school and have continued for nearly a decade since. I have tutored many students across all levels of mathematics from the elementary to the undergraduate level. Additionally, I have tutored several students in astronomy at the undergraduate level. Calculus is my favorite topic to tutor, as I find the concepts to be incredibly fun to both learn and teach. In addition to tutoring, I also worked as a multivariable calculus teaching assistant for the Harvard Mathematics Department. I firmly believe that anyone can learn math. There's no such things as a "math person." It's just a matter of finding the right teacher. Outside of my academic pursuits, I also enjoy flying single-engine airplanes, writing screenplays, playing a relaxing game of golf, and training in martial arts.

I am currently pursuing my M.A. in Mathematics Education through Northern Arizona University. Of course I love to teach math, especially to those students that have a history of hating it, but English is also a great passion and strength of mine. Outside of teaching, I am the sponsor of my school's Korean Club, I coach the varsity pom team, I choreograph the school musicals, and I am a member of a small dance company, so I have a high respect for the arts as well. I am a very patient and understanding person. I speak clearly and always make sure I can help the student find a way to understand the material, even if it means deviating form normal techniques. I have tutored both kids and peers in the past. I have found that for kids, especially in mathematics, relating to something they enjoy makes the experience more enjoyable. Regarding peers/college level students, I can relate to them very well, because I have been through exactly what they're going through and I believe the number one trait is patience. I never rush a student and treat them with the utmost respect.

I am a graduate of the Creighton University School of Medicine where I received my M.D. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Philosophy at Marquette University in 2018. During my time at Marquette, I tutored General Biology and General Chemistry, and I was a teaching assistant for Organic Chemistry lab. Not only did I enjoy teaching students my age, but I also pursued teaching opportunities for younger students in high school and middle school. I was a gross anatomy instructor for high school students taking tours through the cadaver labs and I was one of the founders of the Marquette Brain Brigade, where a group of undergraduate students came up with demos/lessons in neuroscience to teach middle school students. Moreover, I sought out private tutoring opportunities at a company called Huntington Learning Center both during undergrad and during medical school where I tutored a wide variety of subjects, including ACT/SAT, for virtually all age groups. I am very comfortable teaching various subjects and ages, and I am a laid back and flexible person. The subjects I am most comfortable teaching would be the sciences anywhere from the basic level to graduate school level. I am so grateful for the educators that allowed me to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor, and I would love to pass it on and help younger students achieve their goals.

I am a rising sophomore at Duke University. My dream is to become a doctor someday, so I am currently on the pre-med track and taking several chemistry and biology courses. Although my current focus is in science, I have a passion for history and culture. This past summer I participated in a study abroad program in Costa Rica, where I had the privilege of meeting and speaking with people from several different backgrounds, such as an indigenous tribe and the "ancianos" from a senior living home. Because this invaluable experience, I am continuing my studies in Spanish language and culture. Because I graduated high school only a year ago, the subjects that I was taught are still fresh in my mind, especially AP courses. I am very familiar with the AP curriculum, as I have taken 10 AP classes over the course of high school, and spent a fair amount of time preparing and learning strategies for taking the tests. I enjoy learning and teaching a broad range of subjects, but I have the most experience tutoring in Algebra, Spanish, and History. My primary concern is to foster a positive environment for the student, so they feel confident in asking me questions and comfortable making mistakes. In my free time, I play badminton, read fiction, serve the community, and go on the occasional hunt for Pokmon. Hobbies: art, movies, books, reading, writing, music
