I am studying mathematics as a graduate student at Middle Tennessee State University. I graduated from University of Florida with my BS in Mathematics. I have Pre-Calculus - Calculus III tutoring experience and have taught College Algebra. I am great at explaining complicated mathematical ideas and helping students build the tools and intuition to learn how to solve such problems.

I tutored SAT throughout all four years of college, and I am passionate about helping students achieve their higher education goals - in part by leaping over the standardized testing hurdle. I believe that access to helpful hints, tips, tricks, and, of course, grammatical concepts, through an SAT tutor can make all the difference in alleviating at least some of the stress that SAT season can bring. I received Letter of Appreciation in English course in 9th standard and stood among top 10% in International Mathematics Olympiad in high school, and received Academic Scholarship for two years for excellent performance in academics after 10th grade. I used to teach Maths, Science and Computer Science during school and had been tutoring since then.My subjects are Mathematics, Computer Science (Data Structures, Algorithms, Programming Languages), Physics, Chemistry, General Science and English (Reading Writing, Comprehension). For the last 7+ years I have coached students in the areas of 6-12th grade math, graduate statistics, and high school business courses.Prior to pursuing my career in education, I spent four years working for a Fortune 500 company in a variety of sales and business development roles. I have Bachelor degrees in Finance and International Business and Masters degrees in Psychology and Business Administration.My approach to working with students is grounded in executive coaching. Essentially, one of my key goals is to help students become better performers in their classes by helping them boost their confidence, skills, and ability to succeed. I strongly believe that academic success is one part knowledge and one part performance. I work hard to help students develop these two areas in tandem so that they can stand out in their courses and schools. Ultimately, they report feeling better about their ability to succeed and learn concepts at a deeper level.My students have included nationally ranked athletes that had a lot riding on test scores and school grades as well as students that have consistently struggled to succeed in math. As a math educator, I make math interesting by using energy and enthusiasm to teach ideas while guiding students along a path where each new concept is a natural consequence of the previous and a natural precursor to the following. Math is possible by presenting it in the right way. Thoroughly explaining theorems and formulas,I equip students with techniques and strategies to tackle any problem successfully.

I began my career in education as a tutor. As a college student at Howard, I woke up early on Saturdays to work with my small group in math. While I can't say that I loved waking up early, I loved working with my kids! After that I was hooked. Helping students feel brilliant was something I had to do every day!So, after I graduated from Howard University with a Bachelors in Business Administration, I received my Masters from Georgia State University in Early Childhood Education. I taught 5th grade math, science and writing. I then transitioned into working with struggling students in small group and coaching teachers. I love giving my teachers strategies to help students feel smart.While coaching teachers is my role, I never stopped tutoring because there's nothing like hearing my kids shout "Ohhhhh!" after doing math they never thought they could handle. I think most kids struggle in math because they think they can't memorize all the steps. I work hard to help students find strategies that make sense to them. When my students see that there are so many ways to get to the answer, they become mathematicians.When I'm not teaching, I am building towers or playing train sets with my toddler! We have a blast. I love singing. I prefer to be curled up with a good book over shopping. I enjoy dinner with friends or my husband. Game nights are my favorite.
