About Walnut

Walnut, California, is a small city 25 miles west of Los Angeles. The town is most known for being the host of the annual Mt. Sac Relay Festival that elite athletes from around the world travel to compete in. Walnut is also widely known for having the top public school system in the state. About 30,000 residents live in the city, and the often quiet, scenic town offers them a great escape after a long, busy day at work or school.

Walnut students are served by the award-winning Walnut Valley Unified School District. There are five high schools right in the city, including Walnut High and Las Lomas High, which are both top-ranked high schools in the state. When attending an elite high school, like one of these, private Walnut tutoring, either online or in-home, is one way to get supplemental, custom-tailored instruction to help with your course or test prep to stay ahead in your classes. There are also several top private schools in the Walnut area, including South Hills Academy and Halstrom Academy. When preparing for those challenging private school entrance exams, you may enjoy working with Walnut tutors, who are happy to provide you with online tutoring and test prep assistance.

We first reviewed the student's quiz results. We then went on to study for her test by working through the chapter review. I was happy that she remembered quite a bit of what we talked about in previous sessions.

Tutoring review by Chris in Walnut, CA
For this session, the student and I continued our work on triangles and working on the third angles theorem, which basically explains how congruent triangles only need to depend on two of the angles being congruent in order to prove their congruencies. Some of the questions involved intermediate algebra, but for the most part, were very simple and somewhat time consuming.
