This was our first time through an entire rhetorical analysis and through a persuasive essay. We read each one out loud after completion and discussed their merits as well as where he can improve. He is still heavily relying on the first body paragraph to convey his argument, and spending less time on the next one or two body paragraphs. We are working to improve this, and it does seem to get better with practice of the style. Tomorrow we will work on one style. I've asked him to discuss which one with his mother between now and then.
