I am currently working on my Master's degree in Education. My area of specialization is Biology. I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Florida Atlantic University. I have been teaching since 2010 on a simple philosophy: No matter how complex a topic is, it is possible to simplify it to a level where anyone can understand it fully. My passion is to break down complex topics into simpler ones. I am a strong believer of Bruner's Spiral Curriculum. This particular methodology is composed of three parts. They are: revisiting a topic/subject area frequently, increasing the complexity of the topic with each revisit, and learning to relate previous knowledge with the new one. Following this model, students can learn more effectively and retain most of the information and use that in the future. Being multilingual has helped me tremendously to assist students who native language is not English. Being able to speak three languages helps me interact with my students more effectively. Coming from a country from South-East Asia gives me the multicultural background that teaches me to be tolerant, respectful, and patient to all individuals. I believe that patience is the single most important criterion that an educator should possess.

I have many certifications for gifted and enrichment as well as having completed 60 hours of Orton-Gillingham Academy approved instruction for dyslexia. With more than 17 years of classroom experience (20+ years one-on-one teaching) with students of a variety of abilities, I am dedicated to finding the best way to maximize the potential of EVERY student. I am a member of both the International Dyslexia Association and the Learning Disabilities Association of America. l love to see students having fun and learning at the same time! I know working with students one-on-one is the best way to develop personalized success and create lifelong learners.

I am currently an undergraduate perusing my bachelors degree in Computer Engineering at UCF.My specialty is mathematics- I have been on Mu Alpha Theta in my high school and my team has placed numerous times and my qualifications prove my experience within my specialty.I do enjoy tutoring others that are struggling in mathematics, from Algebra 1 all the way to Calculus 2. My method of tutoring is for the student to understand the different methods they can use to approach a problem, as least to get a good foundation for what they know. Solving mathematical problems is a passion that I have, as proven though my stubbornness (in a good way) and experience, and I want to share that with my fellow students. In my spare time, I enjoy coding, playing soccer, going to the gym, and playing video games, namely MOBAs.
