Tutoring review by Alexandria in Burlington, WA
We went over exponential growth and decay, as well as working with fractions. The student was very positive toward learning, asking questions whenever he had them. I left him ways to make his own problems to check his work. I think we had a lot of wins looking over his last test. I did include strategies and study skills as the session went along.

Tutoring review by Liban in Burlington, WA
Went over significance testing and confidence intervals. The student came into the session needing to re-learn everything involving said topics. I broke down every scenario for her and showed her key words and red flags to pick up when identifying what test to conduct. We then broke down the formulas involved, the similarities, and the differences. I showed her how to calculate the standard error given the situation and how to conduct the actual test. We then went over how to interpret the results and how to explained them. We went over a test together to make sure she understood everything we went over. We finished by having her try out a couple of problems on her own. She was able to identify the test needed from reading the question. She still needs to memorize the proper formulas, but seems to be improving vastly. Has an exam on Thursday.

Tutoring review by Alonso in Burlington, WA
He has a test over circles and ellipses tomorrow. In class he is working with the equations and their special values such as a centers, radii, foci, and axes. He's pretty good with the formulas so we quickly went through a review sheet that he brought home. It wasn't part of his test but I elaborated on some related subjects like how to combine last year's geometry with this year's algebra to find equations of conics via triangle properties.
