The student worked on his homework, going through three separate reading passages and responding to three separate question worksheets. He was attentive and responsive, didn't always get the answer right away, but pushed through until he eventually got it. I'm excited to work with him more!

Today, the student and I worked exclusively on the writing section of the SAT. We worked on identifying subjects, verbs, and dependent clauses in SAT writing questions. We worked through part of a writing section together, and I asked him to finish at least 1 (if not 2) writing sections before our next meeting on Monday.

Tutoring review by George in Arnold, MO
The student and I went over a lot of the information that was going to be on the test. We then took a few practice tests together, explaining our thought processes behind each answer and making sure we were reading the answer correctly. She seemed much more confident and able after our session, and there were only two questions asked that she had any difficulty on. I explained the rationale behind them and encouraged her to seek her teacher out for another perspective.
