I am an award-winning writer with 14 professionally-published stories, and I’m currently working on my third novel. I love to read epic fantasy novels like Lord of the Rings, but I also love any writing that’s well-crafted or makes you think, like Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 or Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird.

I am enthusiastic about education and I am a nerd for history, politics, and current events. In high school, surprisingly, my favorite subject was math, and I always thought I was going to be a math teacher. College, however, changed my mind when I fell in love with a Colonial History course and it changed my outlook on my future in education. I am a member of a book club, visit all types of museums, attend plays, and concerts. Another interest, antique shopping, whereas, I learn more about the item's origins and history. When spring arrives, I love to garden. Spring represents rebirth after a long winter and I love to dig in the dirt and plants flowers to watch them flourish just like watching students flourish with their lessons and education.
