I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.

I am happy to accommodate and work with learners on the spectrum.
I'm a current medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine with undergraduate degrees from Washington and Lee in chemical engineering and anthropology. I have extensive experience in tutoring and teaching since 2010, and am ready to help you with your learning needs! I focus on standardized testing (SAT/ACT) and also tutor in a wide range of math, English, and Spanish classes. In my free time, I like to run, do CrossFit, volunteer, and watch TV!
I am an interdisciplinary educator with an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. My background is primarily in integrated arts learning and museum education and I specialize in visual arts, history and art history, and object-based learning. In all subjects, I take a creative, inquiry-based and learner-centered approach, designing opportunities for each unique individual to meet their learning goals.
I'm Anna! I'm currently a student in the MD/MBA program between Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and the Kellogg School of Management, and graduated from Northwestern University as part of the Honors Program in Medical Education. I attended the Bergen County Academies in New Jersey, a selective, application-based magnet school, for high school.
I am currently a resident physician at Northwestern Hospital.
I am a second year law student at the University of Chicago who hails from the San Francisco Bay Area! I tutor the SAT, ESL, and Spanish. I was an AVID tutor in high school, and after college I taught an ESL class and tutored a high school student in Spanish. In law school, I am involved with the Lawyers in the Classroom program. My tutoring philosophy is based on listening to students work through problems and helping them to spot their confusions or incorrect assumptions. I believe students learn much better when they aren't simply told the right answer or right reasoning; they need to get there on their own.
I am proud to be a part of Varsity Tutors! I am originally from San Antonio, TX; I completed my undergraduate education at Rice University in Houston where I received a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Currently, I am in my second year of medical school at Baylor College of Medicine.
I am a recent graduate from a masters program in biostatistics at Columbia University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences, with a focus in neurobiology at Northwestern University. In August, I will be starting a doctoral program in biostatistics at NYU. I was a teaching assistant at Columbia University in my department and also have tutored graduate students and undergraduates privately as well. My primary areas of tutoring are math and statistics coursework in addition to math sections on standardized tests such as the GRE and GMAT. I am very passionate about helping students feel more confident and excited about math. In my spare time, I enjoy running, playing piano, and spending time with friends and family.
I am a new graduate of Pomona College, in Claremont, CA, where I studied Religion and Philosophy. While there, I wrote many papers of a wide variety, working on strong arguments, organization, and phrasing. I peer edited as well as volunteering with groups that mentored high school students, focusing on college admissions work, continuing and expanding my experiences from high school of tutoring for standardized testing. Additionally, I taught beginning violin to younger children.
I am currently attending New York University where I am pursuing a degree in Finance and Statistics. I have previous experience tutoring individuals in math, a subject I have always excelled at academically. My knowledge and interest in mathematics, makes it easy for me to frame and deconstruct seemingly complicated concepts and theories in ways students will be able to understand and remember. Outside of academia I enjoy playing tennis, going to movies, and spending time with friends and family.

Frequently Asked Questions
Many students struggle with the speed and complexity of Logical Reasoning questions, which require identifying argument structures, spotting logical flaws, and evaluating evidence under time pressure. Common pain points include distinguishing between similar answer choices, understanding the specific wording of question stems, and maintaining accuracy while working quickly. Personalized tutoring helps you develop targeted strategies for your specific weak areas rather than trying to improve everything at once.
Effective pacing comes from recognizing question types quickly and knowing which questions to tackle first. Expert tutors work with you to identify your personal timing patterns, help you distinguish between questions you can solve quickly and those requiring more careful analysis, and teach you when to strategically skip and return to difficult questions. With consistent practice and feedback, most students develop a sustainable rhythm that balances speed with accuracy.
Score improvement depends on your starting point, current weaknesses, and how consistently you apply strategies between sessions. Students who work with tutors typically see meaningful gains within 4-8 weeks of focused practice, though the timeline varies. The key is identifying exactly which question types and reasoning patterns are costing you points, then systematically building mastery in those areas through targeted practice and feedback.
LSAT Logical Reasoning questions fall into categories like Assumption, Strengthen/Weaken, Main Point, Flaw in Reasoning, and Parallel Reasoning, each requiring different analytical approaches. Understanding the specific demands of each question type—what the test makers are looking for and how to eliminate wrong answers—is crucial to consistent performance. Tutors help you develop a systematic approach to each type so you can recognize patterns and apply proven strategies quickly.
Your first session focuses on understanding your current strengths and weaknesses through diagnostic practice and discussion. Tutors will review how you approach Logical Reasoning questions, identify patterns in your mistakes, and establish a personalized study plan tailored to your goals and timeline. This foundation helps ensure that every subsequent session builds directly on what you need most.
Practice tests are essential for building stamina, identifying weak areas, and tracking progress over time. However, taking practice tests without strategic review is less effective than targeted practice on specific question types combined with periodic full-section and full-test practice. Expert tutors help you use practice tests strategically—knowing when to focus on individual question types versus full-section timing, and how to extract maximum learning from each test you take.
Test anxiety often stems from uncertainty about your abilities or unfamiliarity with question formats. As you build genuine mastery of Logical Reasoning through personalized instruction and consistent practice, your confidence naturally increases. Tutors also teach you practical strategies for managing pressure in the moment, like maintaining a steady pace, using process-of-elimination systematically, and recognizing when to move forward rather than getting stuck.
Look for tutors with strong LSAT scores themselves, proven experience teaching Logical Reasoning, and the ability to explain complex reasoning concepts clearly. They should understand the nuances of each question type, stay current with LSAC's testing patterns, and be able to diagnose exactly where you're struggling rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Varsity Tutors connects you with expert tutors in Little Rock who meet these standards and can provide the personalized instruction you need.
