We covered half of chapter 11 Multiple Regression and Model Building for the first hour of the session. During the last half hour we went over the first 8 problems of the practice exam for exam 2. The session went well and the student got 7 of the 8 practice problems correct. We scheduled our next session for Friday and we will finish chapter 11 and the practice exam.

Finance Tutoring review by Raymond in Seattle, WA
Today we covered part of the student's homework assignment which dealt with probabilities and conditional probabilities. We got through 12 of 15 problems. The trickiest problems dealt with "at least one" probabilities. These use a different formula so it took a little extra time than it would have normally. She has a test coming up next week that will be covering probabilities as well as the topics we covered last week (linear regression and correlation). She's going to send me her syllabus so I can prepare some extra practice problems for our next meeting on Thursday. I think most of the material is sinking in. She gets all of the material by the end of each problem.

The student and I went over inference and interpretation of 2 sample tests for differences of means for her quiz today. Reviewed material from the previous section about descriptive statistics and one sample tests. She struggled with these interpretations, but seems to have understood after the session.

Finance Tutoring review by Chandler in Seattle, WA
The student has a test on Tuesday. We spent most of the session moving through a lot of topics, from inflation to GDP to sticky prices to opportunity cost, as fast we could. I wish we could have had more time to cover these topics more thoroughly, but if the test is only as deep as the lecture slides, he should be fine.

The student and I went over every question of the quiz we had prepared for last session. He did well on the quiz. It was over GDP and other statistical measures of the economy. We also began going over aggregate demand, why it slopes downward and what are its determinants.
