I am a recent graduate of Santa Clara University in California, where I received my B.S. in Biochemistry as well as a holistic education in environmental science, sociology, and public health (to name a few). I am currently in the process of applying to dental school (2020-2021 cycle), and look forward to converging my passion for mentorship, hands-on involvement with people, and community service into my future career of dentistry. In light of the long application process, I am taking a gap year to fuel my love for education and making an impact on my local community. My mentorship experiences include, but are not limited to: academic advising and DAT-prep for the SCU Pre-Dental Society; Lab and Teacher's Assistant for Biochemical Techniques, a lab-based capstone course for SCU Biochemistry students; teaching oral health prevention to underserved families via The Health Trust in Silicon Valley; and private tutoring in High School in the subjects of biology and trigonometry. My background in STEM has strengthened my knowledge in chemistry, biology, and math (trigonometry and calculus specifically).As for my teaching style, I believe in sustainable improvement - which comes with commitment and organization - and I assess my success as a mentor by my students' ability to move forward with the material independently. I am very patient with my students, and strive to empower every individual regardless of their background, experience, and learning barriers to gain confidence in accomplishing their academic goals. I have studied using many different test prep companies, and I believe in putting an emphasis on methodology and test taking strategies. I also have access to every test administered by the LSAC. I have an abundance of material to work on from previous administrations.All my students will receive LSAT tutoring but also help with the application process and with law school. After my students have taken their exams, we begin with constructing the application for acceptance and finally I have plenty of law videos and outlines to help get students prepared for their first year of law school.

I finished my Undergraduate degree in Psychology with a Minor in Biology. I started teaching Chemistry while I was working on my first Master's Degree; I taught General Chemistry Labs. I enjoyed teaching so much that after I finished my degree I started teaching Honors Chemistry at the High School level.As a teacher, I love to use hands-on methods to teach concepts to my students.
