I am a graduate of Kent State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a background in American Sign Language. I am currently studying to receive my Master's in Early Childhood Education from Kent State as well. Throughout the years, I have volunteered and tutored children through the Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization. Also, I worked as a daycare substitute teacher, working with children newborn to fourth grade. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, grammar, and reading. As a child, I was an avid "book worm" and always had so much fun exploring this big world through the pages of a book. Through my experience, I have found that reading not only helps children learn the grammar and speech skills they need but also piques their curiosity and opens the door for further learning. This natural curiosity propelled me to be an advocate for education, with the hope that every child can one day explore this world with the tools they need to be successful.

As an adjunct professor of finance, I enjoy helping individuals find their way within the finance and business worlds. As a swimming coach, I enjoy helping individuals reach their goals. I am patient and kind and have been in your shoes. I am a strong tutor with the Series 65, 66, and 7.

My Concentration was Language as a Vehicle for Story in Theatre and Children's Literature, with minors in Dramatic Literature and Medieval & Renaissance Studies. Since graduation, I have worked extensively with children, as a babysitter, tutor, private NYC nanny, and in a childcare facility here in Cincinnati.While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Reading, Math, and Science for grade school, and English and French for middle and high school. In my experience helping struggling children learn to read, I have found that games, songs, and silly stories are my most effective teaching tools. I am a vehement believer that literacy and an appreciation for literature are the most important tools one needs to carve out a meaningful existence in this life. I am a Jamaican by birth and now a citizen of the US. My undergrad degree is in English Language and English Literature and I am a trained teacher. As a Fulbright scholar, I obtained a Masters in Education in Reading and Literacy from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. I remained there where I completed a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Private Sector Administration on a PEO International Peace Scholarship for Women.My extensive teaching experience encompasses instruction at the junior high, high school, college and university levels. As a college professor, I have had the privilege of teaching teachers, undergraduates, graduates and post graduate students. It was great to also administer a Masters in Education in Educational Leadership and Management program and to help many of my students achieve success through academic advisement. I love teaching English Language and Literature and find particular pleasure in guiding my students in discovering what it is they writing about and how to best approach this task. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to see the "bulb" switch on when my students realize and understand the joy of expressing themselves in a clear and unintimidated way. Life long learning is something I treasure and so I love teaching at any level and seeing the wonderment that comes with the gaining of knowledge and in original thoughts and ideas. My interests are many and varied and I love to explore all kinds of cultures and peoples, ways of life and as vegan and whole foods plant based enthusiast I have enjoyed learning new ways of cooking and sampling new flavors and tastes. I do love to take a four mile run/walk each day which I do in the metro park near where I live. I love nature and am a serious pantheist. I revel in music and like to take a swim when the opportunity lends itself. Recently I bought a flute and a recorder and am intending to learn to play them. I also own a guitar and have been somewhat successful in learning some simple compositions. I love writing poetry, reading and watching true crime documentaries.

I hold a M.A. in Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall University, and a dual B.A. from Mercyhurst University in Political Science and Sociology. I specialized in Global Health/Human Security, and conflict management/resolution. I worked as a tutor for over 6 years, with a range of individuals from high school students to working adults.I traveled a lot growing up; I am French, studied in Germany, played sports in England, and graduated high school in Canada are some examples. Fluent in French and English, I also have a working knowledge of Spanish (lived in Spain for a while)... I love traveling.I love to cook, play the saxophone (and rugby). I am genuine and know that studying can be hard at times!

I am a sophomore Neuroscience and Behavior major at the University of Notre Dame working towards the goal of medical school, and I have a great passion for learning and helping others learn. As someone who received a lot of different types of tutoring for the ACT/SAT/PSAT, I know a lot of strategies to help get anyone to the score that they want! I also have a passion for biology, math, and all types of sciences. I love working with anyone who wants to learn and improve.Apart from academics, I am an active swimmer and I love to play piano.
