Tutoring review by Arlene in Fredericksburg, VA
We covered how to graph linear equations and absolute values. I advised that she use graphing paper and graph her equations with precision to be able to see the answer more clearly. We reviewed other topics for her quiz. Overall, her understanding of chapter 2 is good.

I worked with Student 1 on reviewing for a quiz. We worked on fractions to shore up what she saw as a weak spot for her. I am happy to see that she is keeping track of what is going well for her and what she needs to work on. With Student 2, we continued reviewing for his Geometry test on Friday. When I work with him he picks things up quickly. I encourage him not to give up and to continue to work on reviewing (or perhaps just 'viewing') for his upcoming test. Happily, he already reported that he feels like things are getting easier--just what I want to hear!

The student excelled at transforming from sum notation to integration notation and just needs to review his trigonometric and ln(x) functions.

The student and I continued the review sheet for his assessment exam. Some of the concepts included indefinite integrals, more derivatives, and graphs. This session was more of him refreshing on old information. At first, when he looked at the problems, he had forgotten how to do them. But when reminded of the concepts, he could quickly finish the problems.
