I am a former high school STEM teacher with a passion for teaching, certified in Secondary Math and Biology. I LOVE math and science, and what they tell us about the world. As a teacher in Detroit, I've worked with students of all ability levels and learning styles, so I have a lot of strategies in my tool belt for tackling difficult concepts. My style as a tutor is to be patient, positive and encouraging. I tend to develop strong relationships with students as a mentor.

I am passionate about helping students. I believe that we all are learners and teachers. all of us are readers and writers. I have the ability to share my passion for learning with others, and one of my greatest strengths is building relationships with students which is the corner stone to successful learning and teaching. I believe that there are no bad kids or bad students, it's just that we all have different paths and ways of learning, we all have a different pace. As a teacher i strive to acknowledge that and find ways to support all students, adapting to their needs and paths, meeting them where they are at. It is my job to believe in every single student and help them believe in themselves. When I am not teaching or engaging with students, I like to read, walk, hike, travel, explore, work out, watch my favorite shows. I enjoy playing and watching ice hockey, and I try to go home to visit my family in Italy once a year.

I am a graduate of The University of Michigan and The University of Pennsylvania (The Wharton School). I received my undergraduate degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering with a minor in history. Also, I recently graduated with an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania (The Wharton School).

I graduated with Honors from Santa Clara University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in English with a specialization in Teaching English. In May 2015, I will graduate with my Masters in Educational Studies from the University of Michigan. I am passionate about teaching students to become critical readers and writers who use their communication skills to reach their goals and connect with others. I have over seven years of tutoring experience and have tutored students in reading and writing from middle school to the graduate level.

I am a Dartmouth graduate. I am currently working on my med and business endeavors. I have not only an interest, but a motivation to help others. I have helped students get into Ivy League schools as well as other top universities across the country with top scholarships. I am currently a second year medical student at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Tutoring is something I have always been involved with. Throughout high-school, I tutored students in Algebra and Calculus. In college, I had an opportunity to work with younger students while also tutoring in organic chemistry. I love being able to help students succeed in all aspects. I am also adaptable to many different learning styles.

I'm 31 years old and graduated salutatorian at Brighton High School. I attended MSU and graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I worked as an engineer for a couple of years and am now working on growing a business I co-founded. In my spare time I would love to tutor math and science, and ACT and SAT prep in general. I am very open minded and patient.

I am working as a Research Assistant at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Department of Transplant Surgery. Though I enjoy working in research, I truly love educating others in anyway that I can. My most recent tutoring experience was during the summer of 2014, in which I taught algebra to a middle school student. In high school, I tutored many of my peers in Spanish, mathematics, chemistry, psychology, and biology. I personally love tutoring both math and biology because the material is interesting and also fun to learn! As a tutor, I always try to relate the material at hand to specific interests of my student. I find that a student understands topics better when we find a way to equate his or her own hobby to the material. With that, I really seek out what the student enjoys doing and use their hobbies as positive reinforcements for learning. Personally, my interests include music (vocal and instrumental), sports, Harry Potter, superheroes, and juggling.

I am a licensed financial services professional and have working in investment banking (including research) for many years. In addition, I have been tutoring test prep for specific standardized assessments for professional certifications (FINRA exams), admissions to undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools for 15 years or so, and my students have found my method quite effective. I also tutor some subjects: math, English (including grammar), and writing. I am eager to work with students who are falling behind as well as those who want to get ahead.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Amirkabir University of Technology. I just got my Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and working on my Ph.D. I am also getting another Master's degree in Computer Science at the same time at Wayne State University. I believe there is always learning in teaching, so I enjoy helping others with their education goals not only because of improving their level of knowledge but also mine. Since I was an undergraduate student, I've been teaching different subjects to so many students from various age groups, backgrounds, and personalities. I do believe the best way to help students is first to build a strong relationship and then try to see the subject from their perspectives so you can focus the light on the dark parts that are the most needed. It makes the teaching/learning process smooth, efficient, and enjoyable for both sides. I am open to tutoring all the mathematics, physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, and computer science-related subjects. I believe the education goal is to search and find our answers to make life better not only for ourselves but all human beings, and in the search for the answers lies the answer.
