If I could travel back in time and offer a single piece of advice to my past self, it would be this: Prioritize your health and empower everyone around you to do the same. This isn't merely a platitude; it's a profound truth I learned through a deeply personal and transformative journey, a lesson that reshaped my life and the lives of those I cherish.

My middle school years were a period of immense struggle. Trapped in a cycle of binge-eating after hours of self-imposed starvation, I grappled with obesity and its insidious impact on my mental well-being. Each day felt like a burden, shadowed by a pervasive sense of melancholy and self-loathing. The concept of "health" was an abstract notion, overshadowed by immediate cravings and a profound lack of understanding about my body's needs. I was a prisoner of my habits, and my mental state reflected this confinement.

The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, ironically, served as a catalyst for change. The isolation and introspection it brought magnified my discontent, igniting a fierce desire for transformation. I resolved to break free from the patterns that had defined my adolescence. I meticulously researched nutrition, embraced mindful eating, and committed to a consistent home workout regimen. The physical changes were remarkable; I shed forty pounds, and with each pound lost, a layer of self-doubt lifted. For the first time in my life, I experienced genuine confidence – a feeling so foreign yet exhilarating.

This personal triumph, however, was just the beginning. My family, like many, had long harbored a fatalistic view of health.
