When Push Comes To Shove by Chayse - February 2026 Scholarship Essay
From a Kindergartener to a current Senior, I have always dedicated myself to my academics and put in the effort to attain academic achievements, including Honor Roll, the Senator Schwank Award, and National Honor Society membership. In hope of a successful future, each positive habit I incorporate into my daily routine, no matter the size, is another stepping stone to pursuing success. A major part of the success I have had during my high school career has been proficiently balancing grades, sports, friendships, and time for myself. The time management skills I possess have allowed me to open my horizons and to be involved in multiple experiences during busy and stressful times. In school, I am an A+ student. It is a common habit for me to work ahead on projects or homework by using my time up to the bell to get my work completed so I don’t have to worry about it when I get home. By pushing myself to stay focused in class, I allow myself to participate in after-school activities or needed relaxation time. If I were to have homework, it is routine for me to complete it immediately when I arrive home so that I do not have to worry about it later in the night. With the hopes of having a stable job after college, setting myself up with an effective and balanced day and using the resources given to me has been imperative. My education is a valuable contributor to my success in life, and the effort I place into it has been pivotal for my future career and life path.
