Exercising- a profound habit by Anish - February 2026 Scholarship Essay
A small habit that made a big difference in my personal success was exercising. Everyone knows that working out and taking care of your body through exercise has many benefits for your physical body. But the amount of benefits that it has on your mental health is profound and enormous. Not only did I have a better body, but I had a better mind. I was able to talk to people more, and I was able to do the things I was able to do, even if I was scared. I could do anything! Exercising was the key to my other habits, such as reading or practising gratitude. This also carried into academic success. When I started 9th grade, I had only taken one honors class, and it was not very difficult. By 12th grade, I am taking five ap classes. Five ap classes are very difficult to take, and taking 5 ap classes is not doable for the average person. But I am not the average person, and as such, I took these five ap classes. Right now, I would say that I have fairly good grades, and I am doing better in these classes than the average person. All these successes came from me simply exercising.
