My Small Habit That Made a Big Difference in my Academic and Personal Success by Adam - February 2026 Scholarship Essay

Over the past 4 years I have kept one habit that has not only greatly helped me in my academics but just as well in my personal success. This habit is consistent and intense weightlifting in the gym. This habit has helped me greatly in my life by most importantly giving me an outlet for any stress or challenge I may be facing. The gym got me to improve my diet to a much healthier degree. I've noticed that going to the gym and eating only healthy clean foods has improved my mood and cognitive thinking. After having a way to burn some energy, focusing on class and homework became much easier. The gym has helped me improve my grades, my test scores, and stopped my bad habits like procrastinating. The gym has taught me discipline and delayed success. I've used these lessons to help me in many other aspects of life. For example, when trying to learn any skill or hurdle any obstacle I give it my all. I think anyone should adopt the gym as a habit because it will improve your life and your health. This habit has helped me in so many different ways, it's truly a habit I will keep for the rest of my life.
