I am a graduate of Louisiana State University with a B.S. degree in physical education and math. Having an inspiration to further my education, I obtained my master's degree in curriculum and instruction and my educational doctorate in educational leadership.I have always loved working with and helping others in math and athletics. I have been in the educational field for over three decades and still have that same burning desire to assist others in the area of mathematics. I have a strong passionate for numbers and apply it in my teaching of young students today despite the pandemic that have limited some and prolonged others to achieve their goals. Hopefully, as I embark upon this new chapter in my career, I hope to help many young minds along the way to feel more confident in their learning of this sometime challenging yet rewarding subject called math.

I always keep in mind these important rules to approach my professional goals:1- Develop my skills: My education doesn't stop after I cross that stage and graduate. I am willing to take the extra step to keep learning what it takes to be a brilliant in my field.2- Take responsibility: Take responsibility for my actions and current situations in life. There's no one else to hold accountable for my life other than myself.3- Staying productive: The only way I am going to accomplish my goals and reach success is when I stay productive. Fill my time with productive and positive activities that will help me accomplish my goals.4- Impacting is another way to describe my future vision, making an impact wherever I go, whatever I do, and making a better difference.Tutoring would provide me a lot of tools in terms of theories, network, and also will provide a personal development enhancing my leadership skills and management level vision. It will help me become an entrepreneur and run a very successful yet professional live. It will help me sharpen other skills that I am not exposed to in daily life. It will also prepare me with the economic reality we live in today.Looking forward to help others achieve their goals through me :)

I have completed an Associates in Business and I am currently working on a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering. Once I started taking my math and science courses in the engineering program, I fell in love with math and all the applications it has in the world. I knew engineering was for me.Once I started my engineering program, I had to take my math courses (Algebra- Calculus2), Physics 1&2, and Chemistry 1&2, I was consistently at the top of my class, receiving all A's.This is where I began tutoring classmates in various math and chemistry courses, by tutoring I was able to sharpen both my skills and the students skills at the same time.If you are struggling in math or chemistry, let me help you make math easy again!

I'm a rising junior studying Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Rice University. I first started formally tutoring at the beginning my senior year of high school to fill up some of my free time after school. I've always enjoyed tutoring because I frequently helped my friends in my classes and really enjoyed seeing how I could impact my friends in their own success. I definitely made the right choice my senior year with tutoring because I met some remarkable families and got the opportunity to really help students in more of a long-term scope and see the difference in their grades. I'm a big advocate for the philosophy that "practice makes perfect" and I absolutely love my students that are ready to put in work.I specialize in tutoring math and science subjects. In my free time, I love playing sports (especially basketball), reading books, and spending time with my friends. I'm a pretty light-hearted and goofy person and I love to get to know people and hear their stories. If you have any questions, please message me!

I just finished 5 years in the Navy, and I'm headed back to Rice University this fall. I graduated from Rice in 2007 and I'll be earning a master's degree in teaching. I love math, but physics and government/history are interesting too! I love teaching in a way that's fun as well as effective - that's the great thing about tutoring; it's as individual as the student!

Education has always played a central role in my life. In my teenage years, I was selected as one of only three candidates out of fifty-two mathematics students in the British School in the Netherlands to represent the school at the Frankfurt International Mathematics Competition which was attended by representatives from over one-hundred countries. We nearly made it to the head-to-head finals among many exceptional candidates and had a joyful time. Influenced by this great achievement, I became conscious about the fact that not only did I receive a lot of satisfaction from learning, particularly about mathematics, but that I also found the idea of efficiently passing knowledge onto others very empowering. The idea that an individual can assume the responsibilities of a teacher and contribute to the blooming of the students lives, can exceed a mere sense of satisfaction, and be very inspiring.Ever since the age of eighteen, teaching has always been a career for me; at times full-time, and at times simply because I enjoyed it. It was also at this age that I decided that in order to be the best educator I could possibly be, I would need knowledge, as well as qualifications, to meet today's ever-improving standards of the profession.I have three degrees that have enabled me to have a solid understanding of many mathematical concepts, one from the University of Manchester, a world-renowned institution that produced Nobel Laureates in 2010. I also have a Bachelor of Education from York University, which has enhanced my knowledge in a teaching career that I had been passionate about since my late teen years. I have always tried my utmost to inform myself about current research and trends, most importantly in order to engage students. Part of the new trends are the fast-improving technologies, and I have always tried to keep my knowledge honed.I am proud to say all my elementary students were accepted to their intended high school, and my grade 12 students have had no less than 100% university admission rates, which is something that encourages me to continue working hard.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and English from Converse College in 2007. I was a Computer Science minor and and undergraduate Computer Science tutor during my senior year. I received my Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson University in 2009, where I was both a graduate teaching assistant and a graduate research assistant before becoming a graduate teacher of record. My area of specialty is Algebra/Operations Research. I presented my research at FAU during the Southeastern International Conference on Combinatorics, Graph Theory, and Computing two consecutive years, 2008 and 2009. Since graduation, I have spent over three years teaching Mathematics at the college/university level. I recently relocated to Houston, Texas, where I intend to continue teaching, tutoring, and mentoring. I have worked with third through fifth grade students with reading difficulties for nearly 10 years. I am primarily a Mathematics tutor, but my first love is English, and I truly enjoy working with students in Computer Science as well. Since my MS from Clemson is a breadth degree, I am an expert in all six areas of Mathematics. My goal is to turn negative attitudes towards difficult subjects into positive attitudes with accomplishment and understanding on the part of my students. I am a firm proponent of education, believing that your education is the only thing that is ever truly yours. Once you attain knowledge it is yours for life, unlike material possessions which come and go. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, yoga, walking, and watching movies.

I am a current undergraduate student at the University Houston majoring in psychology with a minor in business administration. As a strong believer in education, I feel that tutors are essential for a student's success whether they are struggling with a particular subject or not. With that being said, I feel that tutors help expand the minds of the future, helping the child understand that they can solve any problem with practice and confidence! During my high school years, I tutored middle and high schoolers in various subjects ranging from pre-algebra to statistics. I also did private tutoring for elementary school students where I helped them solve word problems and fractions effectively! My tutoring expertise does not stop there. I am currently volunteering at a school for students who have autism where I not only assess their behavior, but also their writing and mathematical skills! As I mentioned earlier, I am a firm believer in education and I will do my very best to help the student not only know the course material for a particular exam, but also understand it, so that they can use the method whenever they need it!
