About Me

Howdy! I am a Texas A&M Graduate with an English Literature degree and a minor in History. I have taught ESL in Peru to adults and children, and I currently teach High School level English in Texas. I am a Texas certified English Language Arts and Reading teacher in grades 8-12 and hold a valid ESL certificate. I love connecting with students by learning about them and their different learning styles and helping them find real world applications for the ELA skills we will encounter. I excel in tutoring for EOC/State Level/Standardized tests, literature and essays, and writing skills; however, I am well prepared to tutor in any ELA subject area and some History. My style is to ask a lot of questions to push students to arrive at the solutions themselves as opposed to parroting answers so true learning can occur.
