I am a third year aerospace engineering student at Georgia Tech.

I am sophomore at Amherst College, working towards obtaining an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, with a potential double major in either Psychology or Black Studies. I have always enjoyed teaching others and helping my peers with their homework, especially in math. I really love working with students to help them understand concepts they find difficult by looking at those concepts from different angles. I have done some one-on-one math tutor, as well as often helping my peers with their math homework in various levels of math. I tutor many math subjects, including elementary math, pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, pre-Calculus and Calculus 1. Math has always been my favorite subject, and I like to tutor math because I think anyone is capable of doing math if they are taught in a method they can understand. I like to work with students to find an approach to math problems that they comprehend. I will try multiple approaches to the same problem until I find one that works for each specific student. Outside of tutoring and school, I love to meet new people and try new things. I enjoy watching football, painting and crafting, reading, and baking.

The ACT Reading section isn't about being a fast reader — it's about knowing what the questions are actually asking and where to find the answer quickly. Mustafa teaches students to distinguish between "detail" and "inference" question types and to attack each passage with a specific strategy rather than re-reading entire paragraphs. His 35 ACT composite speaks to his command of every section, not just math.

I am an aerospace engineering student. I am very passionate about teaching math, physics, and chemistry. I realized tutoring was my calling while working as a tutor at my school. Seeing students gain a greater understanding of the subject was the highlight of my day while working there.

I am a current sophomore at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where I am majoring in Biology as part of the 7 Year Accelerated Medical Program. I am also minoring in Healthcare Economics and Policy. My favorite subjects in school are Chemistry, Biology, and Math, but I also enjoy the process of writing and editing thought provoking essays. During high school, I spent time tutoring for the National Honor Society. My approach to tutoring is to teach the concepts in a simplistic manner and reinforcing the concepts while adding difficulty through effective practice problems. In my free time, I have recently found myself reading, working out, drawing, and spending time with my siblings.

Reading four dense passages in 35 minutes requires a method, not just speed. John breaks the ACT Reading section into a decision-making process: how to skim for structure, when to go back to the text versus trusting your first read, and how to eliminate answer choices that sound right but distort the passage. His 36 composite and background in literature make him especially sharp on the prose fiction and humanities passages.

I am a Neuroscience and Behavior major at Columbia University. Although my major is centered in the STEM field, I am also passionate about human rights work, global engagement, and local outreach. While my future plans are subject to change, I see myself continuing in academia, going to medical school, and becoming a physician.

I am a sophomore at the Georgia Institute of Technology and am working towards a major in Computer Engineering. I have been tutoring students of all ages and backgrounds in various math topics ranging from elementary school math to AP Calculus throughout high school. I love teaching math and always find it amazing to watch my students grow and improve in their mathematical abilities. While helping students with standardized testing, we go through several tricks and tactics that have helped my students succeed and have fun in the process. I am also well versed in Physics and have spent 3 years taking the highest levels of physics courses. I love playing all sports (especially soccer) and enjoy playing the guitar in my free time as well.

I am most excited about helping other students achieve their dreams of going to medical school by helping them study for the MCAT. Besides MCAT tutoring, my favorite subjects are chemistry, biology, and math which are all subjects I have tutored in before. I believe that every student can learn the material they hope to with the right guidance and effort. I hope that I can help students realize their full potential and grow in confidence as a learner. Outside of teaching, I like to perform in musicals, most recently I have been in local productions of Mamma Mia and Footloose, as well spend time with friends.

I am a junior at Purdue University studying Aerospace Engineering and am part of the Air Force ROTC program. I have 6 years of tutoring experience at places including Kumon, Mathnasium, and Purdue University. I have worked with kids of all ages from kindergarten to sophomores in college, each with their own set of unique strengths, and tutored a variety of subjects, including calculus, trigonometry, geometry, thermodynamics, chemistry, and physics. Like many of my previous students, I struggled to understand concepts that I was being taught and was a terrible test taker. However, I found ways to overcome my obstacles and develop an better intuition for what I was learning. I believe that it is only this intuition and understanding that helps overcome these obstacles. My least favorite thing to see people be discouraged, so with a little bit of guidance and reassurance, I want to show people that they are capable of anything they put their mind to.
