A Brighter Future for Education by sanai - September 2025 Scholarship Essay

As a 17-year-old student, I hope to see many positive changes in education over the next 10 years that will make learning more accessible, engaging, and supportive for everyone. One important change I want is for schools to offer more personalized learning options. Every student learns differently, so having choices like online classes, hands-on projects, or creative assignments would help us understand subjects better and enjoy school more. This way, learning becomes less about memorizing facts and more about truly grasping ideas.

I also hope schools focus more on mental health and emotional support. Many students, including myself and my friends, face stress and anxiety. If schools had better counseling services, stress-management programs, and safe spaces where students can talk openly, more of us would feel understood and supported while learning. This would create a healthier environment where mental and emotional well-being are as important as academics.

Another change I would like to see is updated technology used in classrooms. Technology can make learning fun and interactive, whether through virtual reality, apps, or collaborative platforms. However, access to technology needs to be equal for all students regardless of background, so nobody gets left behind.

Finally, I want education to prepare students better for real life by teaching practical skills like financial literacy, communication, and problem-solving. These skills are essential for success after school and often don’t get enough attention.
