My Aspirations and What Motivates Me by Romeo - August 2025 Scholarship Essay

I’ve often heard that senior year is the easiest and most laid back part of high school, a time to relax and coast through all the way to graduation.I chose a different path. Instead of taking it easy and just going through the year, I decided to load up on credits to get a head start on college coursework. My goal is to challenge myself, continue my streak of earning all A’s, join more clubs and raise my GPA even further to make myself stand out for college applications. This isn’t just about academic achievement it is also about building a foundation for my future. I’m motivated by the ability and opportunity to earn scholarships and lighten the financial burden of college on my family and I. I understand how expensive higher education is, and I want to do everything I can to make it more affordable for myself and my family. I've had this mindset ever since I can remember, and I strongly believe that Strong grades and extra credits give me a better chance at receiving those scholarships and opportunities.Beyond finances and grades, I have long term goals. I desire to become a model and street wear clothing brand owner/ entrepreneur. I know that both industries are very competitive, and while I plan to work hard to break into them, I also want to make sure I have a strong educational background. A college degree gives me both credibility and a fallback plan, something to rely on no matter where life takes me. This year, I’m very committed to staying focused, working hard, and on preparing for the future I envision and strive to have. I believe that by taking my education seriously now, I’ll be able to open more doors later for leisure. My goals push me forward, and my motivation is sponsored by the life I want to build, one filled with opportunity, growth, success and freedom.
