technology's positive stance on my experience by Rhys - November 2025 Scholarship Essay

Have you ever thought about how different our classrooms were from the 1950's. I'm not just saying "oh they had it so hard, no phones, how!". I'm saying think about every little thing in our lives where we have relied on technology. Whether it's to Google a fact real quick or make it easier to collab with other students with a quick share or send. It affects all these little things and even more so on the other side of things with teachers.

Technology makes grading much more efficient and faster. Teachers have much easier and usable access to other teachers or professors slides or previous work on a topic than any of the other teachers back before technology.

I have had many great saves by technology in my educational career. There have been many times when I've forgot my textbook and had my Chromebook to have excess to the textbook or when I need to find something in the text I can use the search word filter. Most teachers and classrooms run by using Chromebooks instead of paper and just put the assignment online. having the assignment online makes using websites and spreading out work over multiple tabs much easier than papers.

I think technology is moving us forward in our day and will only continue to further us, with easing our labor, work and making learning more accessible to the masses.
