I am a very organized person and technology has greatly helped with this. If I don’t use an IT application in class to help me organize my tasks, I feel as if plans or projects will not be completed on time. There are new applications that my teachers use to help teach lessons and give assignments where I can track my progress, which keeps me engaged more in those classrooms than in others that don’t use technology as a tool to help teach. Softwares like StudentVUE, MakeMusic.com, Canvas, and many others make my classroom experience positive. Technology has also made turning in digital music assignments and videos much easier and quicker than in years past. My school system also uses a digital grade-book where I can track the upcoming assignments and assignments already graded so I can track my grades and GPA in real time instead of waiting for progress reports to come out near the end of the grading quarter. Instead of hand-writing 100 cards for studying purposes, I can search for a Gimkit or Quizlet game to make studying fun and organized. Alongside that, my teachers have the ability to make these studying games tailored to our curriculum, making the studying even more efficient. Considering that life can be busy, technology has created an abundance of convenience for my academics.
