One feedback that comes to mind is when my grandmother told me after a volleyball game that I should never give up my position to another player. I should stand my ground and use what is needed to get it accomplished to the best of my ability so that me and my team could win games. I took that as a way to think of anything that I am working on. The key is learning what you are suppose to do and set a goal to get it done.
Many tasks assigned take time to learn, but I learned that the key is to learn what needs to be done and learn the steps necessary to accomplish it correctly and in a timely manner. Once the mission to complete the task is understood, then set your mind to getting done according to the guidelines and in a timely manner.
This feedback shaped my approach to personal growth by reminding me that sometimes you have to put yourself first in order to be the strong person that you are destined to become. Strength is not always about being first but about doing what is best for the whole. Standing my ground is not only best for me but it always helps my teammates to play their positions more efficiently.
