Technology has found its way into our school system in many ways over the past 2 decades, but in my experience the most useful thing that technology has brought into our classes are Chromebooks. Not Chromebooks specifically, but the use of any type of laptop, pc, tablet, etc. These devices have enabled the use of digital learning. No longer does every assignment have to be done using pencil and paper, we spend less of our natural resources when we introduced technology in our classrooms. I personally like using Chromebooks more than paper work too, it makes the entire process of turning in work easier not just for the student, but for the teacher to grade as well. On top of this, Students have thousands of sites for resources at their fingertips, Stuck on a question? Google it. Another benefit of Chromebooks are the ability to learn from home, we saw this a lot during covid in particular. Imagine how behind students would be after the pandemic if they couldn't work from their computers. While all of these are very good benefits of technology, it also has it's downsides, like students cheating on work, work being turned in late, and the use of AI. However in my opinion, these few downsides couldn't out weigh the positives that Chromebooks have given to our classrooms
