One reason I want to go to college is to learn how to create things that make life better for people. In the classroom, I’ll study how machines, engines, and systems work. I’ll also get to use labs and tools that help me build and test my ideas. By learning how to design and improve technology, I’ll be better prepared to work on real problems in the world like making cars that are safer and better for the environment, or creating tools that help doctors care for their patients. I believe college will prepare me to not just be an engineer, but someone who uses engineering to give back.
I’m especially interested in three areas where I think I can help people the most: automotives, aerospace, and medical technology. In the automotive world, I want to help design cars that use clean energy and are affordable, so more people can benefit from them. In aerospace, I hope to be part of teams that make flying safer and space travel more advanced. And in the medical field, I want to work on equipment like prosthetics or hospital machines that help save lives. Each of these fields affects people in big ways, and I want to use what I learn in college to make a real difference.
College isn’t just about learning from books. It’s also about getting involved and using what you know to help others. I plan to join engineering clubs, volunteer programs, and service projects where I can give back while I’m still in school. I hope to be part of teams that build helpful devices for people in need or take part in outreach programs that teach younger students about STEM. These activities will let me practice my skills while also helping others, and that’s something I really care about.
College will also help me grow as a person. I’ll learn how to work with others, lead a team, and stay focused on my goals. These skills are just as important as technical knowledge when it comes to making a difference in the world. I want to be the kind of engineer who listens, understands real needs, and uses science to create better solutions. Whether I’m helping to improve transportation, health care, or even space travel, I want to make sure the work I do helps others live better lives.
I also want to give back to my own community. I come from a place where people support each other, and I’ve always believed in helping out when I can. After college, I hope to bring my skills back home or use them in places where they’re most needed. Whether that’s designing low-cost technology for small clinics, helping improve public transportation, or mentoring future students, I want to use my education to serve others.
In the end, college will give me the foundation I need to make these dreams a reality. I want to use mechanical engineering not just as a job, but as a way to give back—by building things that matter, solving problems that affect people every day, and making the world a better place. With the knowledge and experience I gain in college, I’ll be ready to do that.
