Habits by Jayden - February 2026 Scholarship Essay

One habit that has really benefited me in my everyday life is a consistent wake-up time and go to bed time. I think this is very important because keeping a consistent routine helps keep my body balanced and helps make sure I get a good amount of sleep at night. I think it is very important that you get enough sleep at night because this makes you feel well rested in the morning and makes you become more productive throughout the day. I find waking up early makes me become more productive throughout the day. I get more things done and I feel better about myself for being able to get more stuff done throughout the day. Going to bed early is also a vital part of my day. Being able to go to bed so I can make sure I am not tired and drowsy in the mornings is very important. I like to spend time making sure I am productive throughout the day so there is nothing stopping me from going to be at night. I also think this helps me perform better in school. I think being able to have a full night of sleep and feeling awake and alert throughout the day is vital to my learning. Without this I would not be as successful in my day to day activities such as dance and learning in school. Not being able to stay focused because I feel sleepy throughout the day would also be a challenge. Overall, this is why I find it very important to follow a good sleep schedule, being able to wake up at the same time everyday and going to bed at the same time each night. Helps me stay productive and keeps my mind awake and alert throughout the day so I can perform my best each and every day.
