What study strategy or learning method has had the greatest impact on my academic success, and why?

One study strategy that has had a significant impact on my academic success is writing things down. I write lots of notes, such as outlines of when I read textbook chapters, notes on subjects we are learning, and notes about things my teachers are explaining. A few good examples are how I use note-taking in my college dual classes. In my Dual class, we are regularly asked to read chapters from our textbooks that may be over 60 pages or more. I take notes by making outlines to remember important information such as headings, main subjects, and vocabulary words that are important to that chapter.

Another example that can be used is for my other dual class. In my other dual class, we regularly take vital signs, and I like to keep notes on what numbers are in the normal range and what things should look and sound like. I also keep a note of reasons why they could be irregular, such as reasons blood pressure could be lowered or higher. I have also found that it helps me to have small sketches or images of things such as anatomy for specific classes.
