The daily routine by Giovanni - February 2026 Scholarship Essay

I am a 17 year person who lives in Long Beach, California. I like Major League Baseball, playing games and trying foods. I think doing one thing every day can make a big difference in how well I do in school or in my personal life. This small thing is something I call a pre game routine for Major League Baseball. It is like getting ready to play a game. I think having a daily pre game routine can help me get ready for the day and do better in Major League Baseball and, in life. For students doing the same things before they study or play games can really help them focus and have more energy. Lets say you have a math test or a really important gaming tournament coming up. If you do some things every time before you study or play like making a cup of coffee listening to your favorite music or doing some exercise for a few minutes you can get ready to do your best. This can be something easy, as drinking a cup of coffee or listening to the music you like. Doing these things can help you get into the mindset for your math test or gaming tournament. This habit is really useful for balancing school work and the things you like to do outside of school like baseball or esports.You can start your study time with a warm up. Maybe you review some things or do a few practice problems while you eat something you like like the famous fish tacos from Long Beach. Incorporating mindfulness into your routine can also help you deal with stress when you are doing school work or playing esports or baseball. This mindfulness thing can really help you manage stress. Take a few minutes each day to reflect on what you're grateful for – maybe it's a win with your gaming squad or a great catch in a Dodgers game. This can help shift your focus to the positive aspects of your life, increasing motivation and resilience.
