My Future Motivates Me by Ella - August 2025 Scholarship Essay
I imagine my amazing future, where I have a loving husband, playful children, really nice house in the countryside with a beautiful neighborhood, and I’m working hard as a Physicians Assistant. At the same time I was in a college class, trying to get my GPA as high as I can get it, trying not to worry about college and scholarships, and waiting for the school day to end so I could go work and make money for my college savings.
Growing up and seeing how hard my parents had worked for things really shaped me to be my hardworking self that I am today. My Mom showed me this by telling me about having to grow up with an alcoholic mother and separated parents as well as the trauma that comes along with it and still becoming a successful healthcare business Women. Additionally, My Dad showed me this by working overtime constantly when I was a kid to help pay for our bills and support out family and grew up in a low-income household but has now achieved financial growth.
Therefore, as I got older, I realized only success isn’t handed to you, it’s earned through persistent hard work. Weather I was, tackling a hard project for school, cleaning stalls for my local animal rescue, or working at my job late on a school night; I saw that being devoted can create respect and a genuine difference.
I want to study biology or nursing and one day become a Physicians Assistant. I know it takes a strong abilities to to memorize and learn efficiently, and it scares me a little. When I get scared though, I just think about at my parents. The amount hard work they’ve put in and knowing I am already starting to be like them at jobs, helps to make me know that I can do it too.
Even if I have to go back to class the next day and do a difficult exam, I believe I can complete it. Due to that I’ve seen what’s possible through hard work. Everything my parents have gave up and their perseverance reminds me that I can find strategies to stay focused when faced with challenges.
