Dez Long's Contributions Towards Building Success in CIS 289 Class for during the Spring 2026 Semester at The University of North Alabama by Dezmond - July 2026 Scholarship Essay

This is Dezmond Montell Long, a senior student and interchanging Interdisciplinary Studies college major returning back to The University of North Alabama located in the well-beloved city of Florence, Alabama currently standing at 120 earned credit hours this semester while continuing to work and earn my Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree this year also. I previously participated in the lower-division undergraduate class, CIS 289 (200-level course), and I can firmly remember our class group conducting a group project (CIS 289 Mental Health App Project) in the middle of class where we were required to provide a justification of basis towards implementing mental app designs, solutions for resolving issues in genuine care and concern for mental health patients (ADHD, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Autism), and were required by our well-entrusted class instructor, Dr. Neal Wagner, to incorporate new ideas and build functions to cure those kind of patients will diligent relief, respectfully. As a part for my contributions towards earning success in our respectful group project (total member count of three, including myself, diligently), I made an inference and well-thought and constructed proposal and hypothesis start creating mental health apps to soothe patients in order to relieve them mentally from their ongoing stress issues dealing with challenges on a daily basis with these options included:

Music App Designs: (Smooth and Slow R&B Music, Jazz Music, Soulful Massages, Pop, Soft Rock, Disco, Music Instrumentals to help hardworking males and females calm their mindsets and mood-swings on a consistent and efficient day-to-day basis)
Personal Directory App Designs: (includes references towards attaining personal therapy from various institutions that are specified in-profession to provide specific guidance from hired professionals (counselors, psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health professionals), religious pastors and loving Christian Baptist Churches), and well trusted academic advisors and college professors
Sports App Designs: I also included wonderful ideas sports marketing ideas for building creative ideas for constructing success for the athletes of a specific university "Caesar Augustus" (Basketball, Football, Soccer, Track and Field, Baseball) that will continue to train athletes to focus on building athletic ability and skills, imply new ideas to make the love of general sports more exciting (Sports Editing and Writing, Fascinating Logo Designs, and well-structured spreadsheets that will tactfully store information as far as team/individual statistics, win-loss records, game spread and prediction, parlay, and championship predictors) and fun to indulge in together with with well-loving friends and family members to continue to enjoy for years to come!

Overall, it was a very exciting experience to conduct the CIS 289 Class Project at UNA, as everybody in our class, including myself, learned different concepts and terms (efficacy, Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing) that really made our class project very exciting while getting to know more of the well-beloved, caring, and very intelligent class members who collaborated very well together out of true and genuine love, respect, Christian vibes, and concerns work together and build a very bright and well-cultured future for our entire student and faculty body.
