Last year, I made a promise to myself that I was going to start going to the gym and truly prioritize my health, and I kept that promise. I showed up consistently on holidays, during cold weather, hot weather, and on days when motivation felt nonexistent. I pushed myself beyond what I believed I was capable of, sometimes even doing cardio twice a day. Over time, the gym became more than a place to work out; it became a space for discipline, growth, and self reflection.
Through this commitment, I gained not only physical strength, but mental strength as well. Choosing to better yourself every single day and refusing to give up is not easy, especially when starting feels overwhelming. However, my growth as a person became undeniable, and physically I transformed into a stronger, healthier version of myself. Consistency taught me patience, confidence, and resilience.
Getting active after a long period of inactivity is a powerful and positive change. This journey showed me what I had been missing and reminded me that progress is built through effort, dedication, and showing up for yourself even when it is difficult. The experience reshaped how I view challenges, proving true change within.
