Positive Impacts of Technology by Ceianna - November 2025 Scholarship Essay

While I do still love paperback books and handwriting notes, technology has allowed school to be more easily accessible not only to me, but to students with disabilities, families, full time jobs, etc. Technology in schools and universities lets students work from home, their jobs, and even out of state. This is beneficial for both students and teachers as a student will miss out on less work and lecture rather than having only the curriculum in person or on paper. Technology has impacted me in a great way as I am able to study for my master's degree and still work full time to financially support myself and my education. If we didn't have technology in the classroom, I would be unable to even have received my bachelor's degree because I am financially independent. Currently I work at a non-profit substance abuse organization. I can not only gain real world experience, but completing assignments on slow days at work allows me to but what I have been studying into practice. Not only is it practical, but it also expands and connects you to other students or research you may not have been subjected to otherwise. By using technology for my research papers, I am able to not only look at publishing's from the 1800s, but research posted just ten minutes ago. This allows you to diversify your research and have a better understanding of the different ways you can perceive things.
